Brett Graves Major League Baseball Player for the Miami Marlins “My goal is to be the absolute best I can be. To leave every stone unturned so I can walk away from this game with no regrets. One of the biggest and most under valued traits that can set an athlete apart from the pack, is their mental game. We spend so much time training our physical tools when they are ultimately undermined by a poor mental game plan. You can be the strongest guy in the gym, with the hardest fastball and best curveball, but without a strong mental approach and that ‘Attack’ mentality it will all be for nothing. Eventually, all you will have to set you apart from everyone else at your level will be your mental fortitude. Attack it.” “Sean has been a long time teammate for me that I know I can trust and talk to about anything. His calm demeanor and ability to focus helped him immensely on the field and will help you learn the mental side of the game. He’s a guy you want in your corner, whether things are going good or bad. He’s always been there for me to talk or to push me when i needed it. A strong community is necessary in the journey to become a successful athlete. Wolves run with other wolves.”

Phil Diehl (AA) “Sean and I were teammates at Louisiana Tech for 1 year where he was a key component to leading our team to its first Regional appearance since 1987. He continued to dominate Conference USA until injury ultimately took the game he loved so much from him. As a pitcher, I always took notice when he talked about hitting and what he was thinking while competing against the pitcher because it was different than the cookie cutter approach and the results talked for themselves!  As a current pitcher in the Yankees organization, you can tell whether or not a player has the right mental approach when he’s out on the field. Lots of people talk about it, but when things get crazy out on the field, they look lost and keep looking into the dugout almost asking to be taken out. Everyone in this game is incredibly talented, but it’s what they can do with their mental approach that will take them to the next level, and hopefully the big leagues.”

Breckin Williams (High-A) -Current Pitcher in the Arizona Diamondbacks Organization -“If you knew how powerful your thoughts were, you would never have a negative one” In the game of baseball you have to be able to forfeit the fact that you will fail. The only way you can be successful in this game for a long time is to be able to efficiently recognize thoughts that will negatively impact your self image and how you play the game. Over time we perform to our own self image, and our self image is completely under our own control. -"Sean has always been a teammate that I knew I could trust and go to with questions. His knowledge of the mental side of the game has helped me grow significantly. If I was ever struggling with confidence or was having trouble getting to where I needed to be mentally to perform at my best he was the guy I could go to. Sean has always been a great friend, teammate, and more importantly someone who has challenged me to grow in all facets of this game and in life."

Raphael Gladu (High-A) -Current Outfielder and Infielder in the New York Mets Organization “I played baseball with Sean at Louisiana Tech for two years. I saw how he approached the game and played the game and I knew right away that he was someone that used the mental side of the game to get an edge. He was always there for me when I was struggling, which for me was usually caused by the mental side of the game. Just by talking with Sean those negative thoughts disappeared! He helped me to stay level headed and consistently positive. I remember that he told me one time, ‘If you don’t learn from your mistakes, you will never be truly successful!’ That will always be stuck in my head!”

Nate Harris (A) -Former Conference USA Pitcher of the Year -Current pitcher in the Colorado Rockies Organization "Going into my junior year (of college) I made a conscious effort into becoming the most mentally tough player that I could be. This goal that I set for myself took my game to another level and ultimately saved my career. As I enter my second year of professional baseball, I am still learning that the mental aspect of the game supersedes the physical. I continue to prepare myself to be the strongest I can be." Quote on working with Sean: "Sean and I had a great relationship at Louisiana Tech. We were both men of faith and were able to connect on that level outside of baseball. He invested in me not only as a teammate, but as a friend as well. I believe that shows a ton about his character. I know how much work he put into studying to be the best at what he does and it shows in his mental toughness on and off the field. He most definitely will be a great tool, one that I fully trust, because I know the effort he puts into helping others be the best player and person they can truly be."
